Some 7,000 people have fled the Somali capital Mogadishu after a new round of fighting this week that killed a significant number of civilians and reportedly wounded 200 people, including women and children, the United Nations refugee agency announced today. Nairobi: The representative of UN Secretary General for Somalia, Ahmedou Ould Abdallah, was received Wednesday by President Ismail Omar Guelleh. The head of state and UN diplomats have long referred to the Somali problem and agreed to work together to try to find ways and means to put an end to this long crisis.
