Attacks in somalia kille dozens
At least 47 people were killed Monday in a series of violent incidents in Somalia, reports CNN.
A roadside bomb exploded Monday as African Union forces were traveling through K4 square, a major junction in south Mogadishu, witnesses said. The bombing was followed by an exchange of gunfire between AU forces and insurgents, they added.Video Fighting explodes in Somalia 2
Casualties included at least five civilians killed and another 20 people wounded, including an AU soldier, an AU spokesman said.
Also killed was an insurgent, a spokesman for the Islamist insurgents said, and a Somali government soldier, according to a government spokesman.
