We, the Ethiopian Somali Advocacy, have opposed the misguided and injustice verdict that the minority regime of Tigray has passed last week As we mark the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human rights one cannot help but notice that even 60 years on after the world committed to the respect of rights globally we have not yet achieved these goals. For example, the minority Tigray has been killing left and right the innocent Ethiopian and put them in jail without rule of law. International Contact Group on Somalia to meet at UN Headquarters

  • NAIROBI, 14 Dec. 2008 (UNPOS)-- The International Contact Group will hold an important meeting on Somalia on Tuesday 16 December at UN headquarters in New York. It is expected that the US Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice, along with several ministers will attend parts of the discussion. The new dispute between the Somali President and Prime Minister will certainly be condemned as a diversion from the real issues that the Somali people want to see addressed.
